Official Whistles Tournament 2026 Rules

Sponsor-safe. Non-betting. Independent platform. Read below for the complete rules governing entry, bracket play, official forecasts, and leaderboard scoring.

Rule 1

Entry

Your tournament entry allows you to participate in the Official Whistles bracket experience for the selected tournament.

Rule 2

Pricing

Official Whistles is currently free to play during the MVP preview. Whistle Time (bracket competition) and Official Forecasts (game-level officiating predictions) are both free — no entry fees, no payment required.

Rule 3

Bracket Phase

Users may create an account, enter the tournament, and submit their bracket before officiating crews are publicly assigned.

Rule 4

Official Forecast Phase

Official-specific forecast questions are released by game only after a crew assignment is publicly posted and verified.

Rule 5

Forecast Availability

Not every game is guaranteed to open for official forecasting. If a crew is announced too close to tipoff, that game may be displayed as information-only and excluded from forecast scoring.

Rule 6

Fairness

Users are not penalized for unavailable forecast windows. Bracket scoring remains valid regardless of forecast availability.

Rule 7

Lock Timing

Brackets lock at the tournament's first scheduled tipoff. Official forecasts lock at the applicable game deadline and are never accepted after tipoff.

Rule 8

Leaderboards

Official Whistles may show separate bracket, forecast, and combined leaderboards throughout the tournament.

Rule 9

Positioning

Official Whistles is a fan-engagement competition centered on sports officiating, leaderboard performance, and bragging rights.

Non-Affiliation: Official Whistles is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NCAA or any conference.

Skill-Based: This is a skill-based fan experience. No cash prizes.

Crew Names: Officiating crew names are displayed only after they are publicly posted by third-party sources.
